Question
(4 × 6) + (2 × 6) The original multiplication equation is?
- 30
- 4 × 2
- 2 × 6
- 6 × 6
Hint:
Distributive property is the law in which we can solve problems which are in the form a(b+c). To solve this type of problem we just have to multiply a with b and then c which can be written as ab+ ac and then finally add them. It is one of the common formula which is used to solve problems. Here, we have to represent the given problem into its original form using distributive property.
The correct answer is: 6 × 6
In the question we have to represent (4×6) + (2×6) into its original form using distributive property.
Here, we have to represent (4×6) + (2×6) into its original form using distributive property.
So, (4×6) + (2×6)
=(4+2)×6
=6×6
So, (4×6) + (2×6) can be written as 6×6.
Therefore, the correct option is d, i.e., 6×6.
In distributive property, when a factor is to be multiplied with the sum of two numbers, we do not directly add the two numbers and then multiply the sum with the factor. Rather, we multiply both the numbers with the factor differently and then add the multiplication value.
