Question

A pizza is cut into 8 slices of equal area. The number of slices to make half of the pizza is

  1. 2
  2. 4
  3. 6
  4. 8

hintHint:

We have the number of slices of pizza to find out about half of the pizza. For that we will start with multiplying total number of slices with half, further we will simplify it by dividing both numerator and denominator with HCF. The number obtained will the required number of slices to make a half pizza.

The correct answer is: 4

Total no. of slice = 8
No. of slice to make a half pizza,
8 cross times 1 half equals fraction numerator 8 divided by 2 over denominator 2 divided by 2 end fraction equals 4
so, 4 slices of pizza makes half of the pizza.
