TO FIND-
Fraction model for the given images.
SOLUTION-
We observe from the given images that if we divide the 2 quadrilaterals into 4 parts, the first quadrilateral has all 4 parts shaded while the 2nd one has only 3 out of the 4 parts shaded.
Hence,
Fraction model = shaded region in image 1 + shaded region in image 2
∴ Fraction model = 4/4 + 3/4
∴ Fraction model = 7/4
When we divide 7 by 4, we get 1 as the quotient and 3 as the remainder.
∴ Fraction model = 1 3/4 .................... [Mixed fraction = quotient (remainder/divisor)]
FINAL ANSWER-
Option 'b' i.e. '1 3/4' is the correct answer to the given question.
