Let's divide the figure into two different shapes. Suppose left side is a rectangle A and right side is a rectangle B. At first we will calculate the area of recatngle A. Length = 13 ft Breadth = 14 ft Area of a rectangle A = 13 × 14 =182 sq. ft now we will calculate the area of rectangle B. Length = 25 - 13 = 12 ft Breadth = 5 ft Area of rectangle B= 12 × 5 = 60 sq. ft Total area of a figure is the sum of the areas of rectangle A and rectangle B. Total area of a figure = area of rectangle A + area of rectangle B Total area = 60 + 182 Total area = 242 square feet So the total area of figure is 242 square feet
