Question

The multiple-choice exam contains a total of 20 questions and each question carries 0.5 marks. There are no negative marks for the incorrect answer. Student A scores 6.5, student B has 15 correct answers and student C has scored 7.5. The top of the three is

  1. Student A
  2. Student B
  3. Student C
  4. Student B and C

hintHint:

We have to find the student who scored highest in exam. If A scored 6.5 , B has 15 correct answer and C scored 7.5 marks. Firstly we will find the marks scored by B, as marks for each question is 0.5 so for finding the marks scored we will multiply total number of correct answer with 0.5. After getting marks scored by every three student we can easily find who score the highest marks.

The correct answer is: Student B and C

marks scored by A = 6.5
marks scored by B = 15cross times 0.5 = 7.5
marks obtained by C = 7.5
so, highest marks is obtained by both B and C.
