Question

# The equation uses the distributive property is?

- 9(8 + 2) = 9(8) + 2
- 9(8 + 2) = 9(8) + 9(2)
- 9(8 + 2) = 9(8)(2)
- 9(8 + 2) = 9(8)(9)(2)

Hint:

### Distributive property is the law in which we can solve problems which are in the form a(b+c). To solve this type of problem we just have to multiply a with b and then c which can be written as ab+ ac and then finally add them. It is one of the common formula which is used to solve problems. Here, we have to find among the given options which obey distributive property.

## The correct answer is: 9(8 + 2) = 9(8) + 9(2)

### In the question we have to find among the options that which of the following apply distributive property.

We have to which option apply the distributive property.

On using distributive property in 9(8 + 2) we get,

9(8 + 2)

= 9(8) + 9(2)

So, 9(8 + 2)= 9(8)+ 9(2).

Therefore, the correct option is b , i.e., 9(8 + 2)= 9(8)+ 9(2).

In distributive property we have to first multiply the numbers in the bracket by the number outside the bracket and then add the multiplication values rather than adding the terms in the bracket and then multiplying them. We have to apply the same to solve the above problem.
