    We will calculate the spread of the data for all the sets. We will then compare the values of all the sets. The set with greater value will have greater spread

    Spread = 42 - 16 = 26
    {5, 11, 18, 22, 38} 
    Spread = 38 - 5 = 33
    {7, 12, 12, 20, 23} 
    Spread = 23 - 7 = 15
    {15, 18, 20, 23, 30}
    Spread = 30 - 15 = 15
    herefore, the data set {5, 11, 18, 22, 38} has a greater spread i.e, 38-5 = 33.
