It is also known as a method of finding product of two or more numbers by multiplying them. Here, we have to find the solve the word problem using multiplication.

In the question it is given that,
Total number of teams = 3
Number of players each team has= 9
Here, we have to find the total number of players present in the tournament.
Total number of players present in the tournament = 3 × 9 =27.
So, the total number of players present in the tournament is 27.
Therefore, the correct option is c, i.e., 27.
For simple multiplication we have to remember the multiplication table of one-digit numbers and for two-digit number we can find it using the multiplication table of one-digit numbers. Here, we have to find the product of one digit number.
