A box is in the form of a cube with an edge 8 cm long, find the cost of a painting outside the box and on all the surfaces at the rate of Rs 7 per m2.

The correct answer is: 2688


    For finding the cost of painting outside the box we have to first find the total surface area of the cube given,

    = 6(64)

    = 384
    The cost of painting outside the box = (TSA)(7)

    = (384)(7)

    = 2688
    Therefore the cost of painting outside the box is Rs.2688
    Therefore, the correct option is a)2688.
