Question

A large mixer at a bakery holds 0.75 tonnes of dough. How many bread rolls, each of mass 150 g,can be made from the dough in the mixer

hintHint:

Make the necessary conversions and thus get the number of breads that can
be made.

The correct answer is: 5000

    Complete step by step solution:
Total dough the bakery has = 0.75 tonnes
We know that 1 ton = 1000 kg
Here we have 0.75 ton. So,
    On multiplying it with 1000, we have 0.75 ton = .75 cross times1000 = 750 kg
    Total dough in grams = 750 cross times1000 = 750000 grams
Dough required for one bread roll = 150 grams
∴ Total number of bread rolls that can be made from 750000 grams = 750000 over 150
not stretchy rightwards double arrow 750000 over 150 equals 5000
Hence 5000 bread rolls can be made from 0.75 tonnes of dough.
