Find the total amount using the total amount formula.

The correct answer is: 6214.5 Rupees

Complete step by step solution:
We calculate simple interest by the formula, $S I equals fraction numerator P T R over denominator 100 end fraction$
where P is Principal amount, T is number of years and R is rate of interest
Here we have $P equals 6000 comma R equals 9 straight percent sign$ .
Here, T is from 18th January to 12 th June that is 145 days which is 0.39726 years
On substitution, we get $S I equals fraction numerator 6000 cross times 0.39726 cross times 9 over denominator 100 end fraction equals 214.5$

Formula for total amount = A = P + SI,
where A is the total amount, P is the principal amount and SI is simple interest .
We have $P equals 6000 text and end text S I equals 214.5 text . end text$
On substitution, we get A = 6000 + 214.5 = Rs 6214.5
Hence 6214.5 Rupees was the total amount.
