Question

In the given figure,blank A B parallel to C D then the reflex of angle P Q R equals

  1. 105°
  2. 115°
  3. 125°
  4. 95°

hintHint:

In this question, we have to find the required angle using the figure given. For that we will draw a line parallel to the given pair of parallel lines which passes through intersecting point of the transversal. Now using the angle properties of parallel line we cab find the required angle.

The correct answer is: 125°

Drawn a line parallel to AB and CD passing through Q
As AB II EF and PQ is a transversal
So, angleAPQ = anglePQF = 45degree                 [alternate interior angles]
Also, CD II EF and QR is a transversal
So, angleDRQ + angleFQR = 180degree             [corresponding angles]
    rightwards double arrow130degreeangleFQR =180degree
    rightwards double arrowangleFQR = 50degree
    Now, Reflex anglePQR = 360degree - anglePQR = 360degree- (45degree + 50degree) = 360degree - 95degree = 265degree
