Question

Alex runs along the boundary of a square ground with 8 m side. How much does he run in 3 rounds?

  1. 24 m
  2. 64 m
  3. 96 m
  4. 128 m

hintHint:

Find perimeter using the general formula for perimeter of square when side length is given. Find Total distance by using  Total distance = no. of rounds * perimeter of square ground.

The correct answer is: 96 m

    ANS :- Option C
    Explanation :-
If the side length of the square is a then the perimeter of that square is 4a .
    Given, a = 8 m
    Then we get perimeter = 4 a = 4  × 8 = 32 m
    No. of round = 3
    Total distance = no. of rounds * perimeter of square ground = 3 × 32 = 96 m
    ∴ Option C is correct
