For example,  square root of 2 and square root of 5 etc. are irrational. If we are asked to determine if a given decimal expansion is rational or irrational and if the given the decimal expansion is non-repeating and non-terminating then the given decimal expansion is irrational.
 

The correct answer is: 1.2332344…, √2, √3 etc.

    1 and 3 both are rational numbers so any decimal between 1 and 3 which is non-repeating and non-terminating is an irrational number. For example, 1.2332344…, , square root of 2 space end root space comma space square root of 3 etc. all are irrational numbers between 1 and 3 as they are non-repeating and non-terminating decimals. Here  square root of 2and square root of 3 are irrational numbers because their decimal expansion is non-repeating and non-terminating.
