Question

Find the height of a triangle if its area is 125 sq.cm. and base is 10 cm.

  1. 135 cm
  2. 12.5 cm
  3. 25 cm
  4. 50 cm

hintHint:

Given , the base length and area of triangle .Substitute both values in the area of triangle formula with base and height to get  height of the triangle  .

The correct answer is: 25 cm

    ANS :- Option C
    Explanation :-
Given , the base length of the triangle is 10 (i.e b = 10 cm)
Let The height of the triangle is h
    Given, area of triangle = 125 sq.cm
Then we get area of triangle = ½*b*h

not stretchy rightwards double arrow 125 equals 1 half cross times left parenthesis 10 cross times h right parenthesis

    125 equals 5 h not stretchy rightwards double arrow h equals 125 over 5
not stretchy rightwards double arrow h equals 25 cm
Therefore, The height of the triangle is 25 cm.
    ∴ Option C is correct.
