Question

Find the value of x in the given equation:
(12x - 40 )*2 = 2x+ (4/2)

  1. 11/42
  2. 11/2
  3. 42/11
  4. 22/44

The correct answer is: 42/11

    (12x - 40 ) *2 = 2x + (4/2)
    24x -  80 = 2x + 2
    24x – 2x = 2+ 80
    22x = 82
    X = 82/22 = 41/11
