# In the figure, find the value of x.

Hint:

### -Find ∠EBD from ∠A and ∠C. Now, Find ∠CED from ∠EDB and ∠EBD .

## The correct answer is: x = 115°

### Step 1:-Find ∠EBC

We know that in a triangle, the exterior angle is always equal to the sum of the interior opposite angles.

In ABC ; ∠EBD = ∠A + ∠C (Given in diagram ∠ A = 45° and ∠C = 30°)

∠EBD = 45° + 30°

∠EBD = 75°

Step 2:-Find ∠CED

We know that in a triangle, the exterior angle is always equal to the sum of the interior opposite angles.

In BED ; ∠CED = ∠EDB + ∠EBD

Given in diagram ∠CED = x and ∠EDB = 45° and we get ∠EBD = 75°from step 1.

x =45° + 75°

∴ x = 115°

Step 2:-Find ∠CED

We know that in a triangle, the exterior angle is always equal to the sum of the interior opposite angles.

In BED ; ∠CED = ∠EDB + ∠EBD

Given in diagram ∠CED = x and ∠EDB = 45° and we get ∠EBD = 75°from step 1.
