Question

In the given figure AB equals AC equals AD comma space of 1em straight angle straight B equals 23 to the power of ring operator,  and straight angle D equals 47 to the power of ring operator. find straight angle B C D

hintHint:

As we know AB = AC and  AC =  DC we find  ∠ ACB  and ∠ DCA.
And add them to get ∠ BCD

The correct answer is: ∠ BCD = 70°

In straight capital delta ADC, we know AC = AD

∠ DCA =  ∠D ( angles opposite to equal sides are equal)

     ∠ DCA = 47° (given, ∠ D = 47°)
In straight capital delta ABC, we know  AC =  AB

∠ BCA =  ∠ B ( angles opposite to equal sides are equal)

     ∠ BCA = 23° (given, ∠ B = 23°)
    From diagram we get

    ∠ BCD = ∠ BCA  +  ∠ DCA

    ∠ BCD =  23° + 47°

    ∴∠BCD = 70°
