Question
Find the solution to the following equation: 3x + 5 = 29
- x = 24
- x = 11
- x = 8
- x = 6
Hint:
The equation is the statement of equality between two expression consisting of variable and/or numbers. In this question you have to find x first show both side is equal which is also given and then later remove constant form Left hand side perform same operation on right hand side .
The correct answer is: x = 8
Here we have to find the solution of equation : 3x + 5 = 29
We are given the equation,
3x + 5 = 29
For solution , we have to find the value of x.
So , here both side are equal to each other, then subtract 5 from both side, we have:
3x + 5 - 5 = 29 – 5
3x = 24
Now to find x divide both side by 3, we have,
=> 3x / 3 = 24 / 3
=> x = 8
Therefore, The value of x is 8 .
The correct answer is x= 8 (option (a)).
In this question , to solve the equation you have to find the value of x, for finding just eliminate the number of constant of x side. The equation is the statement of equality between two expression consisting of variable and/or numbers. The expression is having equal sign is called equation. Apply same methods to find solutions.
