Question
Find the solution to the following equation
7–2x=13–2x
- x = –10
- x = –3
- x = 3
- There is no solution.
Hint:
The equation is the statement of equality between two expression consisting of variable and/or numbers. In this question you have to find x first show both side is equal which is also given and then later remove constant form Left hand side perform same operation on right hand side .
The correct answer is: There is no solution.
Here we have to find the solution of equation : 7 – 2x = 13 –2x
We are given the equation,
7 – 2x = 13 –2x
For solution , we have to find the value of x.
7 – 2x = 13 –2x
7 – 13 = 0
– 6 = 0
Since this is a false statement, there is no solution to this equation. (D)
In this question , to solve the equation you have to find the value of x, for finding just eliminate the number of constant of x side. The equation is the statement of equality between two expression consisting of variable and/or numbers. The expression is having equal sign is called equation. Apply same methods to find solutions.
