NaCl type crystal can be converted into CsCl type crystal by applying high pressure.

NaCl or sodium chloride is the crystal with a coordination number of 6 whereas the coordination number of the CsCl crystal is 8. It is a known fact, that to convert one crystal into other, the coordination number needs to be changed to its desired limit.

To change the coordination number, one needs to change the pressure of these structures. The pressure needs to be exceeded from low pressure to high pressure to change NaCl into CsCl.

The increase in temperature, on the other hand, decreases the coordination number.
