The diameter of a circular park is 98 m. Find the cost of fencing it at Rs 4 per metre.

hint Hint:

Fencing is done on the boundaries which means perimeter of the park

The correct answer is: Rs. 1232

It is given that diameter of the circular park = 98 m
$rightwards double arrow$ Radius = $fraction numerator d i a m e t e r over denominator 2 end fraction$
= $98 over 2$ = 49 m
Perimeter of the park = 2 $straight pi$ r
= 2 × $22 over 7$ × 49
= 308 m
Now, Cost of fencing per metre = Rs. 4
Cost of fencing 308 metre = Rs. 4 × 308
= Rs. 1232
