# The present age of sam and zen are in the ratio 5 :4 . Eight years from now, their age will be in ratio 6 : 5 . Write the algebraic equation and find their present age .

- 12yrs, 23yrs

- 15yrs, 20yrs

## The correct answer is: 40yrs, 32 yrs

### Let the present age of sam and zen be 5x and 4x years respectively,

After 8 years , their age will be 5x + 8 and 4x +8 years ,

According to ques ,

(5x+8) /(4x+8) =6/5

25x + 40 = 24x + 48

X = 8

Hence , present age of Sam = 5*8 = 40yrs

Present age of zen = 4 *8 = 32yrs
