Question

Use a ruler and protractor to draw an obtuse isosceles triangle. Mark the largest angle and longest side in red and the smallest angle and shortest side in blue. What do you notice?

The correct answer is: Angles opposite to equal sides are equal

    • Step by step explanation:
    • Step 1:
    Draw triangle:

Longest side and largest angle are drawn in red colour.
Shortest side and smallest angle are drawn in blue colour.

    • Step 2:
From the figure we can see that,
    -         In triangle, the angle opposite to largest side is largest.
    -         In triangle, the side opposite to largest angle is largest.
    -         In triangle, the angle opposite to shortest side is smallest.
    -         In triangle, the side opposite to smallest angle is shortest
    Also,
Angles opposite to equal sides are equal.
