Full Sail University is a for-profit university in Winter Park, Florida, with three campuses in the state and another in California. Founded in 1979, Full Sail has been recognized as the number 1275th college in the country by Edurank.
Full Sail University admits students of all ages and backgrounds, but it is most popular among high school graduates looking to pursue careers in the entertainment industry. Full Sail offers bachelor’s degrees in digital arts, media arts & animation, design & production, and music business. The university also offers master’s degrees in business administration, film production, game art & design, sound design, and a doctor of philosophy degree program in education leadership (EdD).
Full Sail University’s admissions process begins with an application that can be submitted online or by mail. Prospective students must submit a high school transcript or GED scores; ACT or SAT scores (if applicable); two letters of recommendation from teachers or other educators; a personal statement about why they want to attend Full Sail University; and a resume detailing prior work experience or volunteer activities if any exist.
Full Sail University’s acceptance rate is identical for undergraduate and graduate programs at just below 50%.
Requirements for Admissions
To be eligible to transfer credits toward the completion of the Entertainment Business and Music Business Bachelor of Science Degree Program, applicants must have one of the following:
- A bachelor’s degree or higher from another accredited postsecondary educational institution recognized by the United States Department of Education, which is related to the Entertainment Business’s educational program objectives
- A Bachelor of Science in Music Business, with a minimum transfer academic average of 2.0 GPA., a copy of Transcript. Transcripts must be official. Transcripts must include the graduation date, final GPA, and degree earned. Eligible
Applicants must also complete three additional Full Sail courses: Mathematics, Computer Science, and Introduction to Media Arts and the Internet.
A Full Sail Associate or Bachelor of Science degree with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0.
Graduate School applicants must have one of the following qualifications:
- A Full Sail Bachelor of Science degree with a total GPA of at least 2.5.
- a bachelor or higher degree out of another postsecondary educational university that the US Department of Education has approved and recognized.
The degree must include topics and have a scope similar to the candidates.
Candidates with a transfer for the academic goals of the Graduate School Degree Program.
Grade point average of 2.5 Candidates who satisfy these criteria will be given admission consideration pending an interview.
Analyzing a copy of an actual document The following details must appear on transcripts: the date of graduation, the degree attained and the final GPA. It is not essential to provide a copy of your high school diploma or GED results.
A cumulative GPA of less than 2.5 may, in some circumstances, be taken into consideration for admission. Please contact us.

To be considered for admission, international applicants must provide the following information:
- Application for Admission—Applicants must complete the application and meet all requirements.
- The application fee of $75.00 must be submitted along with the application before submitting the following documents.
Language Proficiency: Applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate the necessary level of proficiency.
Language proficiency can be demonstrated by submitting documentation of one of the following:
TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)
- Paper and pencil test: 550 is the minimum acceptable score
- Computer-based test; the minimum acceptable score is 213
- New internet-based test; the minimum acceptable score is 79
IELTS (International English Language Testing System)
- The required minimum score is 6.
- Financial Guarantee -must be given to demonstrate the availability of funds for the whole course of the desired degree program for tuition and associated costs.
- Certificate of High School Completion – All candidates who have graduated from high school must submit proof of their graduation to Full Sail.
To determine U.S. citizenship, students at a foreign institution must provide official documentation to the International Department.
(Only Graduate School Applicants) – College transcripts must be submitted to an outside evaluator for determination.

Foreign School Credentials – must be evaluated by an outside agency for U.S. admission.

English Translation: A certified English translation must accompany any non-English documentation.
Obtain a Visa: Applicants for a campus-based degree program must obtain the appropriate visa to enrol.
Full-time studies (This is not required for online degree programs)
To minimize the cost of international payment, for International applicants and students, a wire transfer or credit card is recommended for payment of all fees, deposits, and tuition.
