Haverford University was started as a private school in 1833. It has a total of 1,307 first-year students (fall 2020), is in a suburban area, and is 200 acres in size. It uses a school year based on semesters. It costs $60,940 for tuition and fees. Haverford is a liberal arts college with a large campus outside of Philadelphia. It is often ranked as one of the best colleges in the country for liberal arts.

Haverford is known for its science programs, which are also vital in the liberal arts and sciences. The Phi Beta Kappa Honors Program gave the school a chapter because it did well in the classroom. The Haverford Fords started competing in the NCAA Division III Centennial Symposium in terms of sports.

Haverford College is in Haverford, Pennsylvania, about 10 miles from Philadelphia. The campus is an arboretum with gardens and a large pond. Even though Quakers started the school in New York and Philadelphia, it is not connected to any religion. Haverford does have 23 NCAA Division III sports teams, most of which participate in the Centennial Conference.

Haverford also has the oldest college soccer and the only varsity sports team in the country. There are no fraternities or sororities at Haverford, but there are more than 145 groups that students can join on campus. Haverford is a residential college, and about 98 percent of students live within one of the residence halls, campus apartment complexes, or houses.

How to Get into Haverford University:

With only 18% of applicants getting in, Haverford College is among the most selective schools. Half of the people who get into Haverford College have SAT or ACT scores between 1360 and 1520 or 32 and 35. Scores on the SAT and What You Need

Haverford will no longer requires students to take standardized tests for three years, starting with the class of 2020-21. During this time, applicants can send in their SAT or ACT scores, which are not needed. During the admissions cycle for 2018–19, 68% of students who were accepted sent in SAT scores.
