The United States Air Force Academy, or Air Force, is a military service academy located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, U.S.A. Founded in 1954, the United States Air Force welcomed its first class of 306  men in 1955. The curriculum at the United States Air Force Academy is rigorous, with its intense daily schedules that allow no relaxation. Even though the Academy allows various extracurricular activities and Clubs, the five-week-long training programs mold the cadets for military life.  

 To create outstanding United States Air force and Space Force officers, the United States Air Force Academy offers top-tier education that combines athletics, character development, leadership training, and military instruction. All cadets must complete a disciplinary major of their choice or division major at the direction of their disciplinary adviser at the United States Air Force Academy. Like every other college, cadets can choose to study one minor specialization course from the 32 possible majors, irrespective of the core curriculum. Military training schedules follow every cadet’s daily routine until graduation, including aviation and airmanship courses.

Admission 

Admission to the United States Air Force Academy is as selective as any other military academy, emphasizing nominations and academic excellence. The Academy encourages its aspirants to prepare for admission from middle school, motivating them to work hard and develop their full potential early on. Middle school students are encouraged to score well in English, Maths, and Science subjects in their academic field and proactively participate in extracurricular activities where they can develop physical and leadership qualities.  

You can start your United States Air Force Academy applications as early as junior high school. You must fill out pre-candidate questionnaires and apply for nominations for on-time application procedures. Pre-candidate questionnaires are available online on the United States Air Force Academy‘s official website. Especially for Junior moving to senior high school Classes, the Academy offers summer seminars, where applicants can live as a cadet of the Air Force Academy for four days. The Summer program at the United States Air Force Academy has no impact on its admission applications.

  • One or more test scores ( SAT/ACT/PSAT/PreACT) 

 The United States Air Force Academy will email instructions to candidates who have met the initial criteria to enter candidate phase applications through pre-candidate questionnaires. Those who have missed out on the questionnaires should submit them before year-end to have a chance at enrolling.

Those who have entered the candidate phase must take a physical fitness assessment before the deadline posted on the portal and take a medical exam at the Department of Defense Medical Examination Review Board (DoDMERB).
