The University of Missouri – An Overview

The University of Missouri (MU) is a public research institution that came into existence in 1839. The University of Missouri is one of the 34 public universities that are members of the Association of American Universities and serves as the flagship campus of its system. The research centre of Missouri University is considered the most influential research reactor worldwide. Also, the university has a Health Care system offering four hospitals in Mid-Missouri.

The average GPA a student requires to be considered by the University of Missouri is 3.52. Along with a GPA of 3.52, The University of Missouri expects you to be an average student in your school studies. Mizzou prefers A’s, B’s, and a few C’s as your school grades. If your GPA is lower, you can compensate with more challenging courses like IB or AP. As a result, your profile will get weightage and considered. On the 1600 SAT scale, the average SAT score of the University of Missouri is 1190. It is quite a competitive SAT score for Mizzou. If you score a 1090 SAT score, you will be below average; on the other hand, if you score a 1290 SAT score, you will be above average.

The University of Missouri doesn’t have a competitive ACT cutoff, but do not take it for granted. The moderately competitive average act score of the University of Missouri is 26. The below-average score is 23, and above average score is 29.
