About Exam

ACT, American College Testing is a Standardized Test that is required to be taken by students looking for admission in Undergraduate Schools in the US and Canada. ACT exam has been developed to evaluate the Writing skills, Mathematical, Verbal, and Scientific Skills of the candidates.

Evaluation pattern

The raw score that one gets on each section of the ACT is scaled between the range of 1-36, with 36 being the highest possible score on a section.

The SAT is an entrance exam used by most colleges and universities to make admissions decisions.

The purpose of the SAT is to measure a high school student’s readiness for college and provide colleges with one common data point that can be used to compare all applicants. College admissions officers’ reviews standardized test scores alongside your

  • High school GPA,
  • Classes taken in high school,
  • Letters of recommendation from teachers or mentors,
  • Extracurricular activities,
  • Admissions interviews, and
  • Personal essays.

Evaluation pattern

The scaled score of between 200 and 800 is converted from the raw score earned on each section. Raw score is simply the number of questions you answered correctly. Skipped or wrong questions do not add or subtract from your raw score.

ACT Exam is conducted 6 times in a year.
The subjects covered in ACT are English, Reading, Mathematics and Science.
The test duration would be 3 Hrs. (180 Min) without the writing section and 3 hrs. 40 min (230 Min) including the writing section.
It is an MCQ (Multiple choice questions) based test with 215 questions in total.
