In the figure, AF is perpendicular to BC and AF is the angle bisector of straight angle D A E, then state the rule used for the congruence of Δ DAF an ΔEAF.

The correct answer is: ASA congruence rule


    Consider ΔDAF and ΔEAF
    straight angle AFD equals straight angle AFE (Since AF is perpendicular to BC)
    AF = AF (Common side)
    straight angle DAF equals straight angle EAF (AF is angle bisector of straight angle D A E)
    So, by ASA congruence rule we have
    ΔDAF⩭ ΔEAF
