Question

Solve the following by using the method of substitution
Y = X
4X + 3Y = 7

hintHint:

find x by substituting y (in terms of x) in the equation and find y by substituting value of  x in the equations

The correct answer is: x = 1 ; y = 1

    Ans :-  x  = 1 ; y = 1
    Explanation :-
    ⇒  y = x  — eq 1
    4x + 3y  = 7 —- eq 2
    Step 1 :- find x by substituting  y = x  in eq 2.
    4x  + 3 (x) = 7  ⇒  4x + 3x = 7
    ⇒  7x  = 7
    ⇒ x = 1
    Step 2 :- substitute value of x and find y
    ⇒  y = x ⇒  y = 1
    ∴  y = 1
    ∴  x = 1 and y = 1  is the solution of the given pair of equations
