NEET 2021: What’s New as Per the NEET Live Updates?

Twice A Year

There is some news stating NEET 2021 will take place twice a year. If this happens, the medical entrance exam will follow the same lines as that of the IIT JEE Main exam. It would definitely be a piece of exceptional news for all the NEET aspirants.

But, some media channels report that NTA has ruled out the possibility of conducting NEET twice a year. However, no official announcement has been made yet.

NEET 2021 Dates

The NTA via its notification released on 12th March, this year, has officially announced August 1, 2021, as the date for NEET 2021. Students can download the official notification from NEET’s official website or can click here to see the notification.

But in these uncertain times, students must always be prepared for changes. Though no such announcements have been made by NTA, the recent prediction of Corona’s third wave could hamper the dates.

Internal Choices

There is no official change in the syllabus of the exam, but there are some other changes in the exam pattern to make it easier for the CBSE students. Despite the change in classes 11 and 12 syllabuses, NEET has retained the old syllabus. However, due to this reduction, NTA has come up with a solution to provide increased internal choices for the candidates. The motive of this is to compensate for the reduction in the syllabus by CBSE and several other state boards.

Online Mode

There are possibilities of the exam taking place online. If this happens, the likeliness of the exam taking place twice a year will also increase. However, there is no official clarification on the same. For any NEET live updates, students can keep an eye on the Education minister’s social media handle and the official NEET website.
