Question

Find the area and circumference of the dollar coin

hintHint:

Given the diameter of the circle .Find the radius of circle then Find the circumference of the circle by using the formulas circumference of circle equals 2 pi r and area of circle = 2 pi r.

The correct answer is: The circumference of a circle is 9.4247 cm and the area of the circle is 7.0685 sq.cm

ANS :- The  circumference of a circle is 9.4247 cm and the area of the circle is 7.0685 sq.cm.
    Explanation :-
Given, the diameter of circle = 2r = 3 cm
Then the radius of circle r = 1.5 cm
Then we get circumference of circle equals 2 pi r

equals 2 pi left parenthesis 1.5 right parenthesis

    equals 3 pi cm = 9.4247 cm
The  circumference of a circle is 9.4247 cm
Then we get area of circle = pi r squared

equals pi left parenthesis 1.5 right parenthesis squared

    equals 2.25 pi cm squared

    = 7.0685 sq.cm
The area of the circle is 7.0685 sq.cm.
∴The  circumference of a circle is 9.4247 cm and the area of the circle is 7.0685 sq.cm.
