Question

Find the area, length and breadth of the square whose perimeter is 36 m.

The correct answer is: Area of the given square is 81 m2 & length & breadth are 9m.

    Hint:-
    i. Perimeter of a square = 4 * side
    ii. Area of a square = (side)2
    Step-by-step solution:-
    Perimeter of a square = 4 * side
    ∴ 36 = 4 * side
    ∴ 36 / 4 = side
    ∴ 9 = side
    i.e. side of the given square = 9 m ................................................ (Equation i)
    We know that all sides of a square are of equal lengths
    ∴ for the given square-
    length = breadth = side = 9m
    Area of the given square = (side)2
    ∴ Area of the given square = 92 .................................................. (From Equation i)
    ∴ Area of the given square = 81 m2
    Final Answer:-
    ∴ Area of the given square is 81 m2 & length & breadth are 9m.
