### Given,

The initial amount of air (n_{1}) = 10 mol

The initial volume of the tyre (V_{1}) = 40 L

The final volume of the tyre (V_{2}) = 20 L

According to Avogadro’s law, the final amount of air in the tyre

n_{2} = V_{2}n_{1}/V_{1} = 20/40 x 10 = 1/2 x 10 = 5 moles.

The deflated tyre would contain 5 moles of air.
