Question

Identify the missing terms.
x squared plus 11 x plus 24 equals left parenthesis ? plus 3 right parenthesis left parenthesis x plus ? right parenthesis

hintHint:

factorize the LHS by taking common terms out and match the factors with RHS.

The correct answer is: x and 8 are the missing terms

ANS :- x and 8 are the missing terms
    Given, x squared plus 11 x plus 24
    Write 11 x text  as  end text 3 x plus 8 x text  then we get  end text x squared plus 3 x plus 8 x plus 24
Take x common from 1st two and 8 common from last two we get x left parenthesis x plus 3 right parenthesis plus 8 left parenthesis x plus 3 right parenthesis
Now, take x + 3 as common We get 6 x squared minus 60 x plus 150 equals left parenthesis x plus 3 right parenthesis left parenthesis x plus 8 right parenthesis
∴ upon comparing x and 8 are the missing terms respectively.
