Use Substitution to solve each system of equations :
2X + 5Y = -5
Y = 2 over 5 x space minus space 1

find x by substituting y (in terms of x) in the equation and find y by substituting value of  x in the equations  .If we get a true statement we say they have infinite solutions .If we get the false statement we say they have no solution.

The correct answer is: They have infinite no.of solutions for the given system of equations

    y space equals negative 2 over 5 x minus 1               — eq 1
    2 x plus 5 y equals negative 5              —- eq 2
    Step 1 :- find x by substituting y equals negative 2 over 5 x minus 1 in eq 2.
    2 x plus 5 open parentheses negative 2 over r x minus 1 close parentheses equals negative 5 not stretchy rightwards double arrow 2 x minus 2 x minus 5 equals negative 5
    negative 5 equals negative 5
    Here we get negative 5 equals negative 5 which is always true i.e always having a root .
    They coincide with each other and have infinite no.of solutions
    They have infinite no.of solutions for the given system of equations
