SAT stands for Scholastic Assessment Test. Earlier it was known as Scholastic Aptitude Test. It is the standardized test offered by the College Board, and students attempting to gain admission to undergraduate institutions, specifically in the US country and others, must take this test. The SAT exams are conducted to assess candidates’ verbal, mathematical, and written abilities. The SAT assists students in preparing for college.

In addition, many schools now award SAT scholarships on students’ SAT exam results.

Furthermore, There are Two Types of SAT Exams:

  • SAT exam 1, referred to as the Scholastic Assessment Test. Students applying for admission to undergraduate programs must take the SAT exam I.
  • Contrarily, the SAT exam 2 is more topic-specific. This test is required of students who wish to enrol in a specific subject to show that they are knowledgeable about that subject.

Note: The College authority has stopped offering topic-specific tests from June 2021. Students need to pass the SAT 2023 now to be accepted to their preferred Undergraduate program.

The SAT assesses a high school student’s preparation for college, and schools are given a single, uniform framework to utilize in evaluating all applications. Standardized test results are examined along with

  • High school GPA,
  • High school courses,
  • Teacher’s letters of recommendation,
  • Information on extracurricular activities,
  • Proficiency in admissions screenings,
  • Lastly, personal statements/essays.

The SAT lasts three hours. The SAT with Essay test will last 3 hours and 50 minutes if you select that option.

So, carry your water bottles and other essentials with you. Remember, we promised you with your preparation.
