Nouns are words that name things, people and places. 


  • Cow milk is beneficial for health. 
  • She cannot play the Guitar  
  • My mother works in a school. 


A verb is words that shows what someone or somethings is doing. 


  • “A student talks to her friend every day.” 
  • Here “talks” is the verb because it shows what the student does. 

Words Used As Both Noun And Verb :  

Word: Air 

As a noun: I want to go out for fresh air.
As a verb: Put the clothes out to air.
