Grammar Pronouns – Types – Subject and Object, I and Me

A word that replaces a noun is called a pronoun. It helps us avoid the repetition of the noun.

Examples:

  • I like to write stories.
  • She loves  going to work.
  • I will go with her
  • She gifted me a watch.
  • Sam hates working with him

In the examples given above, the pronouns take positions other than at the beginning of the sentences.

Take, for example, the pronouns I and me. Though they both may refer to a single person, most preferably the speaker itself, they are not exactly the same.

They cannot be used interchangeably.
